MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 170, (3.25 g), obv. laureate head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around M ANTONINVS AVG TR P XXIIII, rev. around IMP VI COS III, Victory walking to left, holding wreath and palm, (S.4953, BMC 531, RIC 226, RSC 979b). Toned, extremely fine and scarce.
