WWI, Munition Worker's hat badge in bronze (54x43mm), lug back, reverse, 'Issued/By/Department/Of/Defence/Stokes & Sons/Melbourne', also impressed, 1714. Nearly extremely fine.
1714 James Henry Hunter, fitter at Government Dockyard, Newcastle, NSW, age 32, born at South Shields, Durham, England; applied as volunteer for manufacture of munitions in Great Britain 29Jan1917; Emb.09May1917; RTA 21Mar1919; Disemb. & Disch.10May1919.
