Anzac Commemoration 1926, presentation case (18.8cm square x 2cm deep), with gold blocked title on lid and inside the lid is silk lined and inside the case is a blue plastic cover impressed in silver blocking with a map of Australia together with five stars each holding a British George V farthing dated 1914, together with a printed card that reads, ' "Remember Anzac"/Presented to/(written in ink - Mr W.E.Peverill)/for invaluable assistance,/Anzac Commemoration, 1926/ "Lest We Forget" '. The coins extremely fine, overall very fine and very scarce. (case + 5 coins + card)
William Edward Peverill, mechanic, age 34, born at Ballarat, Vic; Enl.07Feb1916 at Melbourne, Vic; Emb.16Mar1916 and served in Aircraft Repair Section, 1 Australian Flying Corps; RTA 06May1919; Disch.02Oct1920. Awarded MID 2nd Supplement LG 16/1/1918, p937; CAG No.76 23/5/1918, p1125, to A/123 Air Mechanic First Class William Edward Peverill, AFC. It is believed that the above set was issued by the Victorian RSL.
