Group of Six: Distinguished Service Medal (GVR); 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19; France Medaille Militaire; Croix de Guerre with Palme. Ply 14717 Cpl T.H.Wedge R.M.L.I., H.M.S. Exmouth. Athens 1 Dec 1916 on first medal, Ply 14717 Pte T.H.Wedge R.M.L.I. on second medal, as Cpl on third and fourth medals. First to fourth medals impressed, last two medals unnnamed. Good very fine and rare.

DSM: LG 23/3/1917, EG 27Mar1917 'For service whilst landed from HMS Exmouth (on loan from HMS Princess Regent) at Athens on the 1st December 1916: 'The following awards have been approved'.
ADM 137/546 recommendation states: 'Corporal Ply/14717 R.Wedge, Pte Ply/14546 E.James, Pte Ply/16639 G.Conway. 'Exmouth'. During the retirement these men gave me every assistance in rallying the men and several times volunteered to reconnoitre my flanks'.
