Defence Medal 1939-45. Unnamed but attributed to S.J.Thomson N.F.S. 475202. Uncirculated.

Together with a NFS (National Fire Service) hat badge (KC) in gilt and enamel (with some oxidation and loss of enamel); also official box for delivery of Defence Medal to S.J.Thomson, 64 Ennismore Gdns, East Molesey, Surrey; Defence Medal entitlement slip-card dated 10 Jul1946 and marked at the top, 'D.M.7. Part A Regional Fire H.O. Albert Embankment S.E.1', and written at the bottom, 'S.J.Thomson Esq (N.F.S. 475202)'; 'Home Secretary With Compliments 1939-45 slip that accompanied the medal; there is also a Commonwealth of Australia, State of Queensland, Federal Estate Duty - Notice of Assessment 1947/48 for the Estate of the late George John Walter that came with the lot but the relevance is unknown.
