Antoninus Pius, (A.D. 138-161), AE sestertius, (21.24 g), Rome mint, issued A.D. 158-9, obv. laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right, around ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XXII, rev. VOTA SVSCEPTA DEC III, and COS IIII in exergue, S C across field, Antoninus Pius to left, sacrificing with patera over tripod, (S.4262, RIC 1010, BMC 2068, C.1124). Dark brown patina, well centred, very fine or better, rare in this condition.
