Syria, Kingdom of, Demetrius I, (162-150 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.58 g), Antioch mint, issued period 152-151 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrius to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS, to left **DH MHTRIOU, SOTHROS, monograms to left, **AXR* in exergue, (S.7015, SC 1641.6 cf.SMA Newell 125, cf.SNG Israel I (Spaer) 1278, BMC -, HGC 9, 798). Good very fine.
