India, Princely States, Independent Kingdom of Tripura, Vira Chandra Manikya with Queen Sri Srimati Manomohini, machine struck silver tanka, 10.74g, TE 1279, obv. Coat of arms of Tripura State. with legend 1279, Tripurabda above, rev. Bengali legend "Radha Krishna Pade/ ri ri Yuta Vira Chandra/ Manikya Deva Varmma/ ri rimati Manomohini/ MahaDevi" within beaded border, (KM. 356). Has been mounted into a brooch on the reverse, grafitti scratches etc on obverse and reverse areas, otherwise good very fine, and very rare.

Only a three sales of similar coins appear in Coin Archives, one brought $7416 US at the Oswal Auction (India) No.70, 16 December 2017 (lot 286) and another in Spink London September 27, 2016, (lot 149) realised £2400.
