1902 Proof Shilling, Edward VII, 1901-1910. S-3982, ESC-3588, Davies 1550 (N). 5.62g. Reverse - This is very similar to Merlen's third reverse GEORGE IV shilling. Lion passant regardant standing upon the Imperial Crown with a decorated inner circle between the legend and plain border. No designer's initials The legend reads FID: DEF: IND: IMP: with the date divided by the crown and ONE SHILLING below the decorative inner circle. Toned, FDC.
