1887 Proof Sovereign, Victoria, 1837-1901. S-3866, W&R 333 (Scarce). 7.96g. Obverse - Joachim E. Boehm's Jubilee bust with small crown and veil, J.E.B. on truncation. Second legend type, with top of crown clear of the decorative border, D:G: close to the crown. Reverse Benedetto Pistrucci's St George and the Dragon, WWP in relief on exergue below broken lance small B.P. in relief below right of exergue. Deep cameo proof, hairlines, obverse contact marks, nearly FDC and scarce.
