1839 Proof Shilling, Victoria, 1837-1901. S-3904, ESC-2980, Davies-853. (R) 5.63g. Obverse - second young head; - W.W. is absent from the truncation. Reverse - Merlen design with the words ONE SHILLING under St Edwards crown and surrounded by two branches forming a wreath of oak and laurel tied by a ribbon with the date below, struck in coin alignment. Plain edge. Dark grey tone, nearly FDC and rare.
