1839 Proof Shilling, Victoria, 1837-1901. S-3903, ESC-not listed, Davies-852. (R) 5.64g. Obverse - second young head; -W.W. in relief. Reverse - Merlen design with the words ONE SHILLING under St Edwards crown and surrounded by two branches forming a wreath of oak and laurel tied by a ribbon with the date below, struck en Medaille, with attemped scratching, planchet flaw in ribbon. Plain edge. Dark iridescent tone, brilliance, red FDC and rare.
