Italy, Venice, as a Levantine copy of Alvise IV Mocenigo, (1763-1778), gold ducat or zecchino, (2.43 g), obv. DUX ALOY MOCEN, S.M.VENET, Doge kneeling before St Mark, both holding flag, rev. SIT T XPE DAT Q TV REGIS ISTE DUCA, Christ in mandorla, surrounded by stars (cf.F.1421, cf. Ives [NN&M 128], Pl.XIII, cf.Paolucci 13). Softly struck in places, very fine.
