Islamic, Abbasids, al-Muktafi (AH 289-295, AD 902-908), gold dinar, (3.91 g), Misr (Egypt) mint, AH 292 = AD 904, obv. Kalima in three lines across field; mint and date formula in inner margin, (Qur'an XXX, 4-5 in outer margin), rev. continuation of kalima in three lines across field, "al-Muktafi billah" below (Qur'an IX, 33 around). (A.243.1, Bernardi 226De, Wilkes 425). As struck, extremely fine and rare.
