Australian Industrial Exhibition, Ballarat, 1901, presentation fob in gold (15ct; 12.55g; 26mm) (C.1901/64, this piece), no maker, scroll and ring top suspension, reverse inscribed, 'Comr./W.H.Kingsbury'. Fine and rare.
W.H.Kingsbury, inspector of factories at Ballarat until he was promoted to a similar position for the Brighton district in Melbourne, was a commissioner of the Australian Industrial Exhibition at Ballarat and was also chairman of the musical committee of the Exhibition commissioners.
