Ladies floral pendant/brooch, features a voided four petal flower decorated with rubies and pearls, in gold (9ct), pin-back and with suspender for wear as a brooch or a pendant, together with a gold chain (9ct; 65cm) (tot wt of pendant and chain 5.94g). Very fine. (2)

Family believes that the gold for making the pendant/brooch came from the Pajingo gold mine about 50km south of Charters Towers in northern Queensland. The mine was on land occupied by one of their ancestors, Frederic Hamilton, in the late 1800s.
