Aurelian, (A.D. 270-275), billon antoninianus, Tripolis Mint, (4.10 g), obv. radiate cuirassed bust of Aurelian to left, around IMP C AVRELIANVS AVG, rev. around SOLI INVICTO, Sol standing left, captive at foot, holding globe and raising right hand, (S.11609, RIC 390) (illustrated); Aurelian and Vabalathus, (A.D. 271-2), billon antoninianus, Antioch mint, (3.44 g), obv. IMP C AVRELIANVS AVG around, radiate and cuirassed bust to right of Aurelian, S below, rev. VABALATHVS V C R IM D R around, laureate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Vabalathus, (S.11718, RIC 381, C.1) (illustrated); another similar; Antioch Mint, (RIC 384); Rome Mint, (RIC 31, 64); Siscia Mint, (RIC 216).
