Philip I, (A.D. 244-249), silver antoniniani, Rome mint, (4.86 g), obv. radiate bust to right, around IMP PHILIPPVS AVG, rev. temple of six columns, in centre, statue half left, holding sceptre, around SAECVLVM NOVVM, (S.8963, RIC 25b, RSC 198) (illustrated); another issued in 245, (3.85 g), obv. radiate bust to right, around IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, rev. Felicitas standing to left, holding caduceus and cornucopiae, around FELICITAS TEMP, (S.8928, RIC 31, RSC 43; another similar, (4.03 g), rev. ANNONA AVGG, Annona holding corn ears and cornucopiae, modius at feet, (S.8923, RIC 29, RSC 32). Good very fine - extremely fine, first scarce. (3)

Ex Hans Ferdinand Collection, previously from Dr Busso Peus for the first and third coins in 1979 and 1980, second coin from Regal Coin Co in 1969.
