Divus Vespasian, (died A.D. 79), silver denarius (3.41 g). "Judaea Capta" commemorative, Rome mint, struck under Titus, A.D. 801, obv. laureate head right DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS around, rev. Slow quadriga left, with tensa (car) in form of small temple surmounted by statuette of quadriga flanked by Victories holding palm fronds and wreaths; car ornamented with figures of Minerva advancing left and brandishing spear, and garlands, EX SC in exergue, (S.2566, RIC II.1 361 (Titus), Hendin 1585, RSC 146). Choice extremely fine, lightly toned, very rare.
