Egypt, Alexandria, Nero, (A.D. 54-68), billon tetradrachm, year 10 = A.D. 63-64, (12.93 g), obv. radiate bust of Nero to right, **NERW KLAU KAIS SEB GER AU* around, rev. Poppaea bust right, LI before, around **POPPAIA SEBASTH*, (S.2002, RPC 5275, Koln 157, Savio 196). Toned, nearly very fine and a rare issue of Poppaea.

Poppaea Sabina (AD 30 65), also known as Ollia, was a Roman Empress as the second wife of the Emperor Nero. She had also been wife to the future emperor Otho. The historians of antiquity describe her as a beautiful woman who used intrigues to become empress. She died in 65 A.D.
