Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy IV, (221-205 B.C.), AE 37, Alexandria mint, issued 221-205 B.C., (48.56 g), obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, dotted border, rev. eagle to left with open wings, head to right, standing on thunderbolt, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU*, between legs E, (S.7815, Sv.1148, SNG Cop.207, BMC 73-76, Koln 97, Pitchfork 40-42); Ptolemy VI Philometor, 180-145 BC, under Cleopatra I Thea, AE 27, (15.16 g), obv. head of Isis right, wreathed with corn and with hair in long locks, rev. Eagle left on thunderbolt, (Svoronos 1235, Weiser 131, SNG Cop 248) (illustrated) Time of Kleopatra III and Ptolemy IX to Ptolemy XII, circa 116-51 BC. AE 20 mm, (8.26 g), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, with ram's horn in his hair and over the diadem, rev. two eagles with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt; to left, cornucopiae, (S.7901, Faucher & Lorber Series 9, SNG Cop. 311-4 [Joint reign of Ptolemy VI and Ptolemy VIII], Svor.1426).
