WWI Medals to Brothers: Trio: Military Medal (GVR type 1); British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 16403 Spr A.L.Hager Aust:E on first medal, 16403 Spr A.L.Hager 3-Sig Coy A.I.F. on second and third medals.; Pair: 1914-15 Star; Victory Medal 1914-19. 2663 Pte H.W.Hager 16/Bn A.I.F. on both medals. All medals impressed. Last medal of trio with staining on obverse, fine.

'For bravery and devotion to duty during the period 24.8.18 to 31.8.18. Throughout the advance Spr Hager carried out his duties as Bde Section lineman with exemplary courage repairing forward lines under heavy shell fire and greatly assisting in the successful maintenance of forward communications'.
