Alfred Ernest Smith, labourer, age 31, born at Woolwich, England; Enl.26Jul1915 at Claremont, Tas in 4Rfts 26Bn, with previous service of 4 years in 3rd Kent Artillery; Emb.24Sep1915; to hospital at Abbassia with venereal disease 16Dec1915-29Feb1916; TOS 26Bn 02Jun1916; charged with neglect to obey order and AWL, France 18Sep1916; charged AWL 29Nov1916, France; multiple stays in hospital sick including for frost bite to feet and rheumatism and other ailments; RTA 08Apr1919; Disch.04Aug1919.
