Group of Four: China War Medal 1900; 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 178401. H.Parsons. A.B. H.M.S. Undaunted. on first medal, 178401, H.Parsons. A.B. R.N. on last three medals. All medals impressed. Display mounted, very fine.
Together with R.N.O.C.A. (Royal Navy Old Comrades' Association) badge in gilt and enamel, button back, reverse numbered M1735.
Harry Parsons, brick maker, born 24Mar1878 at Stratford on Avon, Warwickshire, England; Enl.27Feb1892 at age of 14; served on various ships including Impregnable, Boscawen, Thunderer, Vivid I, Hermione, Undaunted (23Mar1897-25Apr1901), Excellent, Defiance, Triumph, Tenedos, and Sapphire II; joined Royal Navy Reserve 24Mar1908; Enl.06Oct1914 for WWI service; served on HMS Benbow, Defiance (twice), Wallington, Vernon, Aragon and Attentive; Died in 1940.
