Islamic, Ilkanids (Mongols of Persia), Local Coinage, First Period, Abaqa, (A.H. 665-680) (A.D. 1265-1282), gold dinar, Yazd mint, (6.33 g), issued A.H. [6]80 (A.D. 1281-2), (A.2126.1, M.-, Wilkes 2068). Slightly off centred on the obverse and reverse, double struck on the obverse, otherwise very fine and very rare.
Ex Steve Album January 2002, from the Iran Hoard, c.1965 where some similar coins were present in the hoard, together with its card reference from hoard.
