Italy, Napoli, Charles II, (king of Spain), (1674-1700), silver ducato, 42mm, (27.81 g), Napoli (Naples) mint, Germano Ravaschieri, mintmaster; Vincenzo Porzio, trial master; dated 1684, obv. CAROLVS II D G HISPANIAR E NEAP REX Draped and armored bust to right, with collar of the Golden Fleece; below, IM (Giovanni Montemain, engraver), rev. VNVS NON SVFFICIT within fluttering belt; below, crowned scepter between two hemispheres and, in the circle, below, AG / A (Andrea Giovane, mint master and Marco Antonio Ariani, test master) - 1684, (Pannuti-Riccio 1. MIR 292, DAV. 4045). Toned, good fine, scarce.
