Ferdinando I (Don Ferrante), (1458-1494), silver carlino 25mm, (3.55 g), first Coinage, Napoli (Naples) mint, Salvatore Miraballo, mintmaster, struck 1458-1459, obv. + FERDInAnDVS D G R SI I Vn, royal coat-of-arms; double annulet stops, rev. + DnS m AIVT EGO DE In mE, Ferdinando, seated facing on throne with lion rampant supports; M (mintmaster initial) to left; double annulet stops. (cf.CNI XIX 682, cf.Pannuti-Riccio 21d; MIR 72/4, cf.MEC 14, 951); together with AE cavallo, 17mm, (1.70 g), Napoli (Naples) mint, obv. FERDIN NDVS REX, radiate and draped bust right, rev. EQVITAS + REGNI, horse standing right on ground line; annulet stops. (CNI XIX 932 var. [rev. legend], cf. Pannuti-Riccio 41 (for type); MEC 14). Good fine - very fine, both scarce. (2)
