Italy, Sicily (as a kingdom), Philip III of Spain, (1598-1621), silver scudo (or 10 tari), 40mm, (30.39 g), Messina mint, dated 1611 DC (Decio Cirino, mintmaster), obv. bust right, wearing ruff (ornate collar), three pellets below, around PHILIPPVS II[I] DEI GRATIA, rev. crowned coat of arms, SICILIAE ET HIS REX 1611, (Dav. 4041, MIR 343/2, Spahr 5). Toned, double struck, very fine and rare.
