Justinian I, (527-565), AE follis, Nicomedia mint, (19.43 g), issued year 17 = 543-544, officina B, obv. Justinian bust facing, DN IVSTINI ANVS PP AVC, rev. M, B below, year X/U/II, NIKO in exergue, partial chi-rho (chrismon) monogram above, large thin flan, (S.201, DOC.123b, BMC 201, Hahn 113b.1b). Large flan, with partial earthern patination, otherwise nearly extremely fine and scarce.
