Magnentius, (350-353), AE maiorina, Rome mint, issued 350-351, (5.16 g), obv. bare headed draped and cuirassed bust to right, around DN MAGNEN TIVS P F AVG, A behind bust, rev. GLORIA ROMANORVM, Magnentius galloping right spearing fallen enemy, RS in exergue, star above, (S.18801, RIC 209); another (5.48 g), Lugdunum mint, rev. FELICITAS REIPVBLICAE, Magnentius standing holding Victory and labarum with chi-rho symbol, RPLG in exergue, (S.18792); and a barbarous copy of Lugdunum mint type (1.34 g), obv.D N MAGNEN TIVS P F AVG, bare headed bust draped and cuirassed to right, rev. around VICT DD NN AVG [ET CAES], two Victories standing facing one another, holding between them wreath inscribed VOT/V/MVLT/X supported by column, RPLG in exergue, (S.-). Very fine - extremely fine and scarce. (3)
