Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome Mint (3.08g), obv. laureate head right, around SEVERVS PIVS AVG, rev. Jupiter standing frond brandishing thunderbolt in right hand, sceptre in left, around PM TR P XVI COS III PP (RIC.216, RSC.501); sestertius, Rome Mint, (20.98g), obv. laureate bust right, around L SEP SEV PERT AVG IMP VII, rev. Roma seated left on shield, holding Victory and spear, around DIVI M PII F P M TR P III COS II, S-C (RIC IV. 700; BMCRE. 569). Nearly fine; worn very good. (2)
