Ex Dr L.J. Sherwin, Collection from I.S.Wright November 22, 1990, previously from M.R.Roberts September 5, 1990.
A ruler of 28 months, he issued coins in his name in gold and silver (an extremely rare two-thirds miliaresion). He was in conflict with the church and after a short reign was placed on trial with trumped up charges of heresy but died before judgement was passed. His coins are rarely seen, this coin is as fine as the few offered in the Hunt brothers sales.
