Lesbos, Mytilene, electrum sixth stater or hekte, (450-445 B.C.), (2.50 g), obv. youth head to right, wearing a diadem, rev. Corinthian helmet to right, **S* to right all within square frame, (cf.S.4247, Bodenstedt 40 [p.224-5, Pl.19, 53, reports 8 specimens known from only 4 obverse dies and 4 reverse dies, these dies obv. b, rev. **b*], BMC 55 [Pl.XXXII, 24], De Luynes, Paris 2558 [same dies], Boston MFA 1699, Weber 5612). Very fine/fine and rare.
