Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochos IX Eusebes Philopator (Kyzikenos), (114/3-95 B.C.), silver tetradrachm (15.73 g), Antioch on the Orontes mint, issue of first reign at Antioch, circa 113-112 B.C., obv. diademed bearded head to right, rev. to right and left **BASILEWS/ANTIOCOU, FILO PATOROS*, Athena Nikephoros standing left; to outer left **PN*/A; tiny A to inner right, all within wreath, (cf.S.7160, SC 2363a, SMA 382, SNG Spaer 2677, HGC 9, 1228i). Light and attractively toned, nearly extremely fine and scarce.
