Pamphylia, Perga, (c.250-240 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Artemidos Magistrate, (16.93 g), obv. laureate head of Artemis to right, bow and quiver over shoulder, dotted border, rev. to right APTEMI**DOS*, to left **PERGAIAS* Artemis standing left, holding sceptre and wreath, deer standing before, turning head to gaze at the goddess, **D* in outer left field, dotted border, (cf.S.5413, cf. Colin, p. 37, a previously unrecorded early issue with **D*, cf.SNG von Aulock 4655 for issue B and Dewing Collection 2465 for **Q*). Well-struck, very fine or better, extremely rare and unpublished.

H.J. Colin 'Die Mnzen von Perge in Pamphylien aus hellenistischer Zeit.' Kln. 1996. Emissions for B, **G* and **Q* noted. This issue is unknown and fits between emission 12 and 13 of Colin's listing. A similar example sold by CNG in 2010 realised US$3500.
