Peloponnesos, Phliasia, Phlious (Phleious), silver drachm, (c.420 B.C.), (5.53 g), obv. bull walking to left, head lowered on ground line, below in exergue traces of **FLEIA*, rev. a four spoked wheel, with prominent central axle, around **S I O N*, all within an incuse square, (BCD 87 [p.42, LHS Sale 96, May 8, 2006, This Coin], BMC 1, Traite 714, [Pl.CCXVIII, 22], McClean 621 [same dies], SNG Cop.1, S.2752 [p.256], HGC 5, 138 [R2]). Nearly very fine and very rare.
Ex BCD Collection and sold at the LHS Sale 96, May 8, 2006, (lot 87) and previously from the Freeman & Sear Mail Bid Sale No.1, March 10, 1995 (lot 147), with tickets, photos etc.
