Bruttium, Lokroi Epizephyrioi, silver stater or nomos, (317-310 B.C.), (8.59 g), obv. Pegasos with pointed wing flying to left, thunderbolt below, rev. head of Athena to left, wearing Corinthian helmet over leather cap, **LOKRWN* before, (S.483, BMC 9-12 (p.95, Corinth volume), SNG Lockett 2210 (This Coin, Pl.XXXIX), SNG Munich 1491, Cal.11/2 [p.576], Pozzi 1731 [Naville I, p.94, Pl.LIV] This Coin). Toned, good very fine and very rare.

Ex Classical Numismatic Group, sold in Triton II, a joint Classical Nunismatic Group and others sale in New York at New York International Coin Fair, sale on December 1-2, 1998 (lot 129), previously ex Pozzi Collection, Naville Sale I, March 14, 1921 (lot 1731), and the R.C. Lockett Collection May 27, 1959 (lot 1837).
