Italy, Papal Coinage, Pius VII, (1800-1823), silver scudo, 41mm, (25.67 g), Dually dated RY 3 and 1802, obv. Coat-of-arms surmounted by crossed keys and Papal tiara, rev. Holy Mother seated, facing on clouds, holding keys and model of the Basilica di S. Pietro in Vaticano, (Berman 3223; KM.C.119), others AE baiocco 1801 (Berman 3236); half baiocco 1816 (Berman 3241); quattrino 1802 (Berman 3243); Sede Vacante, silver half scudo 1823, (Berman 3249, KM.C.123) (illustrated), holed and plugged; Roman Republic, AE 2 baiocchi, (1799) (Berman 3162, KM.C.6). The first coin lightly polished and toned, possibly once mounted, otherwise fine, others as noted above or poor - very fine. (6)
