Italy, Papale (Stato pontificio), Paulus IV (Giovanni Pietro Carafa), (1555-1559), silver bianco, 29mm, (4.30 g), Bologna mint, obv. bust right, wearing mantum, rev. lion rampant, holding banner, (CNI X 8; Muntoni 49; Serafini 269-70; Berman 1048); another silver giulio, 25mm, (2.89 g), Ancona mint, obv. Papal coat-of-arms, rev. S ? PAVLVS ? ANCONA, St. Paul standing facing, holding sword and Gospels, mintmasters mark to lower left, (CNI XIII 102, Muntoni 41; Berman 1046). Fine, weak in places, all very scarce. (2)
