India, punched-mark coinage, square or round silver issues (6); Tanjore, Chola, Yuddhamalla (Rajendra I), (985-1044), gold fanam, (0.46 g), obv. two stylised vertical fish flanked by conch shell and lamp, with umbrella above, rev. Nagari legend, (Mitchiner 726, illustrated); Guptas, assorted silver or billon drachms of various rulers of similar type, mostly not described, obv. profile bust of king to right, rev. small Garuda emblem in centre, various shaped flans, (18, one illustrated); Kuninda, Anonymous, 2nd century BC, AE round unit (2.12 g), (BMC 26-29) Pieper-1129, obv. deer & stylized image of the deity Lakshmi, rev. 6-arch hill, swastika, and Indradhvaja left, railed tree right, fine example; other groups including Malava (5); Mewar, silver drachms 8-9th century (2); Orissa, gold fanam, (0.34 g), obv: caparisoned elephant standing right, rev: floral design (Fr.289, Mitchiner 703).
