Islamic, Abbasid, al-Mutamid, (A.H. 256-279) (A.D. 870-892), gold dinar, (4.20 g), citing Ja'far below, Misr (Egypt) mint, dated A.H. 259 = A.D. 873, (A.239.1, cf.Kazan 164 (al Basra), Wilkes 416). Slightly wrinkled flan, very fine , scarce.
