Islamic, Umayyad, a spurious issue attributed to Yazid II Abd al-Malik, (A.H. 101-105) (A.D. 720-724), gold third dinar, (0.98 g), anonymous, Wasit mint name, dated A.H. 103 = A.D. 721, (cf.A.134E, cf.Wilkes 197). Light weight, good very fine and unusual fabrication.

One of the earliest Islamic gold dinars.
