Arab-Sasanian coinage, Khusro type, in the name of 'Umara b. Tamin, (AH 84-85, AD 680-684), silver drachm, (30mm), (3.62 g), SK (Sijistan) mint, dated AH 85 = AD 704, obv. crowned Sasanian-style bust right of Khusro II type; bism allh rabbi in outer margin, rev. fire altar flanked by attendants, star and crescent flanking flames, (Album C40 [RRR], SACA 1, [p.34], Walker -, Wilkes ICC 57, Album Auction 24 [lot 138, same obv. die]). Areas of tone, nearly extremely fine, extremely rare.

This vice-regal governor of Sijistan produced the last issue of the Arab-Sasanian series of drachms. He was given this governorship for his assistance in the defeat of Ibn al-Ash'ath earlier that year.
