Heracleia mint, (2.76 g), obv. IMP C C VAL DIOCLETIANVS PF AVG, radiate draped bust to right, rev. CONCORDIA MILITUM, in field HA, Diocletian receiving Victory and Concordia facing each other and clasping hands, (cf.S.12636, RIC.13); Galerius as Caesar, (293-305, Ae follis (6.18 g), Nicomedia mint, issued 303-4, obv. GAL VAL MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES, laureate head of Galerius to right. Rev. GENIO POPV-LI ROMANI around, SMNB in exergue, Genius of the Roman people, nude but for chlamys, standing front, head to left, wearing kalathos and holding patera from which liquor flows in his right hand and cornucopiae in his left, (S.14374, RIC 30b) (illustrated).
