Baktria, Indo-Greek Kingdom, Diomedes Soter, (c.115-105 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, 24mm, (9.10 g), obv. diademed heroic bust left, seen from behind, wearing crested helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear, aegis on shoulder, brandishing spear, around **BASILEWS SOTHROS [DIOMHDOU*, rev. the Dioskouroi, holding palm fronds and spears, on horses rearing right, monogram to lower right, (cf.S.7667, Bopearachchi 7A, Bopearachchi & Rahman 485, SNG ANS 1227, HGC 12, 281[R2]). Very fine, toned, and extremely rare.
