Baktria, Indo-Greek Kingdom, Menander I, (c.165/55-130 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, 25mm, (9.58 g), Bilingual series, obv. Diademed, draped bust right around **BASILEWS SWTHROS MENANDROU*, rev. Athena standing left, holding shield and hurling thunderbolt, symbols and monograms each side, Kharoshthi script around, (S.7596, Bopearachchi Serie 12 A, SNG ANS 764, MIG 214c, HGC 12, 181 [S]). Very fine, slightly porous, lamination across back of bust, scarce.
