Baktria, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom, Eukratides I M, (c.170-145 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, 30mm, (16.40 g), obv. **BASILEUS MEGAE around, **EUKRPATIDHS* in exergue, bust of Eukratides right, wearing helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear; all within bead-and-reel border, rev. **HLIOKLHOUS* above, **KAILAODIKHS* in exergue, conjoined draped busts of Heliokles and Laodike, wearing tainia, right; monogram to left; all within bead-and-reel border, (S.7572, Bopearachchi 13A, Mitchiner 182a, HGC 12, 133 [R2]). Lightly toned, marks and metal flaws on obverse, surface roughness on reverse, otherwise very fine and very rare.
