Syria, Kingdom of, Philip I Philadelphus, (c.95-76/5 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.43 g), Antioch mint, issued from 88/7 B.C., obv. diademed head of Philip I to right, fillet border, rev. Zeus seated left on throne, holds Nike with wreath in outstretched hand, all within laurel wreath, on right, **[B]ASILE[WS] FILIPPOU*, and to left **EPIFANOUS FILADELFOU*, in exergue **L*, (cf.S.7196, SC 2463.3e, Newell SMA 445, HGC 9, 1319). Lightly toned, nearly extremely fine.
