Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochos IV, (175-164 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.78 g), Series II, Antioch mint, issued 173/2-169/8 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus IV to right, filleted border, rev. Zeus seated left on throne, holding Nike, on right, **BASILEOS ANTIOXOU*, to left **QEOU EPIFANOU[S]*, plain exergue, (S.6977, SC 1396c, ACNAC Houghton CSE 99, Morkholm 7, HGC 9, 619). Nearly extremely fine, a scarce variety.
