Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochos I, (280-261 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.96 g), Ecbatana Mint, issued 280-278 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochos I to right, dotted border, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, forepart of horse grazing left, on right, **BASILEWS* and to left **ANTIOCOU*, to left AK monogram and above left a complex monogram, (cf.S.6866, SC 409.2f, Newell ESM 528, HGC 9, 128h). Bright, nearly very fine and scarce.
